Engagement Rings

Searching for an engagement ring can be both exciting and daunting. Knowing what you want and understanding diamonds can make this purchase feel like a romantic dream. Choosing a diamond and metal setting should be selected carefully. Do not rush to make a decision. Consider what shape, cut, and diamond size would be appropriate for you. Keep in mind that the more elaborate the setting, the more prudent you need to be while wearing it.

It is very important to choose a diamond that is well-cut, perfectly shaped, with evenly distributed carat weight. I highly recommend focusing on the diameter because it is fruitless to spend money on excess diamond carat weight. A diamond can have a small table diameter and a thick girdle, thus adding to your cost. The cut of the diamond is by far the most important factor in choosing a stone. If a diamond is not cut well, it will lack brilliance.

Lastly, have fun! This will be one of the most exciting times of your life. Enjoy this wonderful experience and then tell me all about it.

I have included a diamond guide, as well as a list of jewelry companies that are both impressive and reputable. The GIA link below will help you to understand diamonds. Styling Jewelry

Styling jewelry is a personal preference. Nevertheless, a woman should not fall prey to popular trends that do not work for her. Instead, she ought to choose jewelry pieces that will complement her features, as well as her wardrobe. For example, a petite woman would have a difficult time wearing big, bold, chunky jewelry. Alternatively, she would create poise if she chose to wear more diminutive pieces of jewelry.

Generally, effortless pieces of jewelry are worn during the day and more elaborate pieces are worn at night. Combining and layering simple pieces together can make a real statement. A long, unadorned necklace can be worn by itself, or wrapped to add interest.

A woman can wear different jewelry styles interchangeably, depending on her activity. She can plan her clothes, accessories, and jewelry so that they work together seamlessly and in concerto. A well-made piece of jewelry does not have to be large in size or heavy in weight, but it must be constructed well.

Building a jewelry collection

Building a collection of jewelry takes time. As we mature, our tastes and desires evolve which helps us to fully identify our personal style in a way that we could not easily articulate when we were younger. A great way to start building a personal jewelry collection is to use your essential and favorite items, particularly jewelry that you can wear with any outfit, for any occasion. From there you can continue to add items that work well for you.

Fine jewelry, bridge jewelry, and costume jewelry are metal categories to consider. The most commonly worn pieces of jewelry are rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants, and necklaces. My pearl stud earrings have been part of my signature look for nearly all of my life. They are simple, elegant, classic, and comfortable. Most of all, they illuminate my face! Once my pearl stud earrings became my favorite pieces, I eventually added a pearl necklace and bracelet which created an ensemble for me to wear on special occasions.

My job as a jewelry consultant

My job as a jewelry consultant is to guide my clients in making a jewelry purchase. Shopping for jewelry is an incredibly personal experience and therefore should be shared with someone both knowledgeable and sensitive. Clothes are worn on the body, whereas jewelry is worn as an accoutrement to the body, almost like a second skin.

It is important to understand what a woman wants in order for me to properly direct her stylistically in purchasing a piece of jewelry. Becoming familiar with her personal style and emotions is essential in being a good jewelry consultant. Is my client decisive or indecisive? Is she adventurous? Fearless? Modern? Conservative?

Lifestyle and spending goals are also important elements that I consider. What are her daily activities and how does she like to dress? Does she prefer spending a substantial amount of money on one or two items, or a smaller amount on several items?

I enjoy utilizing my expertise and passion for jewelry, diamonds and gemstones to guide women of all ages to purchase jewelry that is perfect for them. Providing viewers with various ideas in helping them shop for jewelry is a passion of mine that I fully enjoy.
